A Message From Our President

Dear Fellow North Carolina Hygienists,

It is an honor to serve as President of the North Carolina Dental Hygiene Association for the 2015-2016 year.  Since it’s formation in 1948, NCDHA has remained the only professional organization representing the interests of dental hygienists in our state.  As the public face of dental hygienists throughout North Carolina, we are constantly working on your behalf to stay abreast of the issues facing our profession.

Significant changes are occurring in healthcare and our profession must be poised to make our contribution.  This will only be achieved by furthering the high quality of education that we currently enjoy in each of our dental hygiene programs.  Also, we must be prepared to seize opportunities to collaborate with other health care professionals.

As we move forward, let me encourage each of you to become involved in these efforts by supporting your professional association through membership.  There IS strength in numbers.  Let your voices be heard!

I am excited to work with you in the coming months as we advance our profession.

laursa
